About the Customer Analysis report

This report is accessed via Reports, then Marketing. This report is very useful for seeing at a glance what avenue of marketing has proved most beneficial for your business. This, of course, is only useful if the data is being captured when Customers move in, or sales inquiries are entered.

The report displays a pie graph which proportions Customers to each marketing category you have set up, to a maximum of 18 categories. You can choose whether you want the report to be for old (ie: all Agreements that moved-in during the selected date range and are now inactive), active, or for all Agreements. You can also select the date range for the report.

 

You can report on the following:

  • Marketing Type
  • Customer Type
  • Business Type
  • Reason for Renting
  • Reason for Move Out (the report will query all inactive Agreements with a move-out date within the selected date-range)
  • Post ZIP code
  • Alternate Post ZIP code
  • Contact Categories
  • Contact Marketing
  • Suburb
  • Alt. Suburb
  • Any of the 4 custom fields (more on these: #SYSSETTAB1001)

 

The options that can be selected for the purposes of this report are added / edited under Maintenance, then Types & Categories (more on this: #TPCTWITC01).

 

What do the fields refer to?

The fields displayed on the report may vary depending on the option you select prior to running the report, but here are explanations for some of the fields used on the report...

  • All Agreements: Those that moved in during the period specified no matter what their status is at the time of running the report.
  • Active Agreements: Those that moved in during the period specified and are still active at the time of running the report.
  • Old Agreements: Those that moved in during the period specified and are no longer active at the time of running the report.
  • Total Active Customers: This is the number of customers (with that marketing type) that have moved-in during the selected period. If they have multiple agreements or berths / units / vaults, this only counts one.
  • Customers With No Data: This is the number of customers that moved-in during the selected period that do not have a current Marketing Type assigned to them.
