About the Average Length of Stay report

This report is accessed via Reports, then Marketing. There are two different ways that this report can be run. The first is by Berth / Unit / Vault type, the second is by Customer type. The resulting reports are quite different, as explained below. For each report you will need to specify the period that you are interested in.

If you run the report by Berth / Unit / Vault type, the report will show the average length of stay for each type of Berth / Unit / Vault. You will see the average length of stay for Berths / Units / Vaults that are currently rented and also the average length of stay for Customers who moved out during the specified period. The report also gives the total average length of stay across all Berths / Units / Vaults. The average length of stay is in months, rounded to two decimal places.

If you run the report by Customer type, the report will summarise the data based on the type of Customer. The report is generated using the Customer type data which is under the marketing area of the Customer info page of the Agreement. The master list for this data is set up under Maintenance -> Types & Categories and the Customer Type section.

The report will show the number of Customers who have moved out during the specified period, and show the average length of stay in days and in months.
