StorMan says I don't have permission to edit the status of Berth / Unit / Vault - why?
A number of permissions were altered between StorMan versions 9.1.2 and 9.1.8; including the ability for users to adjust the status of a Berth / Unit / Vault. Steps for adjusting the permission of this section are provided below.
How do I adjust the permission for this setting?
- Log into StorMan under a username that provides a high level of permission (such as the admin user).
- Select , then .
- Double-click the username that you wish to alter the permission for.
- Locate the User level permissions section (to the left hand side) and change the dropdown to display permissions for Maintenance.
- Locate the permission setting for Allow change to vacant status type (it should appear near the end of the list) and click it to enable that permission setting (a dot should appear next to it to indicate that it's now enabled).
- Click OK, then OK again to save & close.
- Finally, log back into StorMan using the username you just altered the permissions for and you should now be able to change the status of your Berth / Unit / Vault.
