What is a "DNS Lookup Failed" error?

This particular error may occur when StorMan is looking to contact our licensing servers (running on storman.com / storman.co.nz), but cannot reach the servers due to a Domain Name Server (DNS) issue with your computer / router / modem / Internet Service Provider.

Ensure that StorMan is not blocked from communicating through your firewall, that all required network ports are open (see: #HWSNPT01) and that your DNS servers are able to resolve the abovementioned domain names. You may also like to check your computer for software that is known to interfere with StorMan (see #HWSPIS01).

If the issue persists after a restart of your computer, or after an extended period of time, please consult your IT technician or contact StorMan Support.
