Transferring a customer into another berth / unit / vault (#CUSTCOU01)

Why transfer a Customer into another Berth / Unit / Vault?

A Customer may, at times, require a different Berth / Unit / Vault if they are upsizing or downsizing. Alternatively, you may need to provide them with a different Berth / Unit / Vault if there is something wrong with their current one.

Note: If the Customer had the Berth / Unit / Vault for less than a day, please refer to #CUSMCIU01 instead.

 

Can I transfer my Customer into multiple, or out of multiple, at the same time?

Yes; to make life easier, the Transfer Wizard allows you to add multiple, or remove multiple, during the same process.

 

How do I transfer a Customer between Berths / Units / Vaults?

  1. Open the Agreement in question.
  2. On the first tab (more on this tab: #AGTTAB101), click the blue & green double arrow (to the top-right of the charges table) to open the Transfer Wizard.
  3. Enter the date when the transfer (into the new Berth / Unit / Vault) is taking place. Click Next to continue.
  4. Click + to add new Berths / Units / Vaults to the Agreement. You can repeat this process if they require more than one. Click Next to continue.
  5. The wizard will now display all Berths / Units / Vaults that are currently attached to the Agreement. Click the checkbox next to any Berths / Units / Vaults that the Customer no longer requires. Click Next to continue.
  6. The final step in the process will display a confirmation of the Berths / Units / Vaults that the Customer no longer requires, followed by confirmation of the Berths / Units / Vaults that will now be attached to the Customer's Agreement, followed by a summary of any applicable charges, credits and / or prorata calculations that will occur. Click Finish to complete the process. StorMan will now perform the request transfer and automatically add any relevant charges to the Agreement's Transaction tab (more on this tab: #AGTTAB601).
