Why would I want to swap Agreement numbers?

On occasions, staff may accidentally assign the incorrect Agreement numbers to two different Agreements in StorMan. It is possible to swap the Agreement numbers so that each Agreement is assigned the correct number.

How do I swap Agreement numbers?

Since you're swapping Agreement numbers (and not changing from one to another), a number of steps are involved in this process. What you will need to do, is change Agreement A to become Agreement C (which has a brand new number). Then get Agreement B onto the old number from Agreement A, which will free up Agreement B. Then go back and change Agreement C (the temporary one for A), back to B's old number.

To illustrate this another way...

Agreement A -> Agreement C.
Then, Agreement B -> Agreement A.
Then, Agreement C -> Agreement B.

Before you try and swap Agreement numbers, we suggest you make a backup of your datafile beforehand. When you are ready to proceed, refer to #CUSCAN01, which outlines how to change an Agreement number.
