How do I find a Customer?

  1. To find a Customer, Agreement, Sales Enquiry or Reservation in StorMan, select the Customers menu, then Find Agreements. Using this find window, you can search by the following fields...

    • Customer name (or part thereof)
    • Gate PIN (or part thereof)
    • Invoice number (or part thereof)
    • Customer code (or part thereof)
    • Berth number / Item number / Unit number / Vault number (or part thereof)
    • Customer name (of alternate contact) or Alternate Contact List (on the bottom of the Customer Info 2 tab)
    • Email address (or part thereof)
    • Car Rego Number (or part thereof)
    • AutoPay amount (or part thereof)
    • Agreement number (or part thereof)
  2. The Find Agreement window will now appear (as shown & outlined below).Search window
    • The Search for field is where you enter the data you wish to find. Pressing Enter will search for your keywords in the field denoted by the button with blue text below the search field (in our case, it will search for your phrase in the Customer Code field, since this button is the one with blue text). You can change this (see Default Button below) if required.
    • The Search all sites checkbox (not shown) appears if you use StorMan MultiView. Enabling this checkbox will tell StorMan to search for the desired information at all sites - not just the one you are working with.
    • Customer Name will search for your keywords in the Customer Name field.
    • Gate PIN will search for your keywords in the Gate PIN field.
    • Invoice Number will search for your keywords in the Invoice Number field.
    • Customer Code will search for your keywords in the Customer Code field. In our screenshot, the button's text is blue, as it is the default button. The default button is the one that will be used if you press Enter while on the find window. You can change this (see Default Button below) if required.
    • Berth Number / Item Number / Unit Number / Vault Number will search for your keywords in the said field.
    • Cust Name Access List Alt Contact will search for your keywords in the Customer Name field (of your Alternate Contact) or the Access List field.
    • Email Address will search for your keywords in the Email Address field.
    • Car Rego Number will search for your keywords in the Vehicle Registration Number field.
    • AutoPay Amount will search for your keywords in the Auto Payment (Authorised Amount) field.
    • Agreem't Number will search for your keywords in the Agreement Number field.
    • Set Default Button... allows you to change which button the default button is, when you press Enter at this screen.
    • Advanced opens the 4D database query tool, which will allow you to build a very advanced query to find data in virtually any database table & field.
    • Cancel cancels the search and returns to the previous screen.
    • Search conducts the search using the default (blue-text) button.
