What are Berth / Unit / Vault statuses used for?

Statuses are used to inform both StorMan and the human operator about the status of Berths / Units / Vaults in the system. The statuses are also used on the StorMan map (more on this: #MAPWISMP01) where different colours on the map represent different statuses.

What statuses' are available in StorMan?

  • Rented (the Berth / Unit / Vault is rented to a Customer)
  • Vacant (the Berth / Unit / Vault is empty, and available for rent)
  • Reserved (the Berth / Unit / Vault is reserved to someone)
  • Company (the Berth / Unit / Vault is being used by your company - for storage purposes, or as an office, etc)
  • Repair (the Berth / Unit / Vault is in disrepair and needs to be repaired... it cannot be rented)
  • To Clean (the Berth / Unit / Vault needs to be cleaned). You can automatically set Berths / Units / Vaults to this status after someone departs. See #SYSSETTAB1001 for more information. In addition, you can also set Units to 'To Clean' every X days - where X is any number you like; again, see the above link for details.
  • Locked (the Customer is late in paying and the Berth / Unit / Vault is locked from an accounting point of view).
  • On Site (the Customer is currently on site; only works with certain access control systems; more on this: #ACCSUPS01).
  • Unavailable (usually used when the Berth / Unit / Vault no longer exists). Note: The Unavailable status will cause the Berth / Unit / Vault to hide itself on the facility StorMan map (more on the StorMan map: #MAPWISMP01).

How do I change the status of a Berth / Unit / Vault ?

  1. Go to the Maintenance menu, then Berths / Units / Vaults.
  2. Locate the first Berth / Unit / Vault that you wish to change the status of, and double-click it to open it.

  3. Assign the new status to the Berth / Unit / Vault by selecting it from the Berth Status / Item Status / Unit Status / Vault Status dropdown box.
