How does the "on special" setting work?

Setting a Berth / Unit or Vault type to be on special is a purely cosmetic setting to provide visual indication to site staff of what types are on special, for whatever reason. Types that are on special are indicated as such with a yellow star icon. Specials are generally always indicated on Berth / Unit or Vault type listings, on the Vacancy Report (more on this report: #RPTVUNR01), as well as on the Occupancy Report (more on this report: #RPTOCC01).

How do I set Berth types / item types / Unit types / Vault types to be "on special"?

  1. Select Maintenance, Berth Types & Rates / Item Types & Rates / Unit Types & Rates / Vault Types & Rates.
  2. Double-click on the Berth type / Item type / Unit type / Vault type that you wish to set as 'on special'.
  3. Enable the Item Type is on special / Berth Type is on special / Unit Type is on special / Vault Type is on special checkbox. The type is now on special.
  4. In the Assignments section, you can also couple the special with a particular billing plan. If you wish to do so, select the billing plan from the dropdown.
  5. When finished, click OK. You will now notice a star icon next to the type, indicating that it is on special. Repeat the above procedure for any other types that may be on special.
  6. Click Done to return to the StorMan Dashboard.
