Making Agreement fields hidden

By using the Agreement Screen Edit function, it is possible to set certain Agreement screen fields to be hidden.

  1. Select the Maintenance menu.
  2. Select Agreement Screen Edit. A dummy agreement will open.
  3. Click several times on the desired field / element that you wish to make compulsory. As you do so, the colours will cycle between a number of options. Stop clicking when the field is blue (see further description of colours below). The field will then be hidden when you view a Customer's Agreement.
  4. Click OK to save the setting & close the sample Agreement.

Making Agreement fields compulsory

By using the Agreement Screen Edit function, it is possible to set certain Agreement screen fields to be compulsory. In other words, the operator will be unable to save or close the Agreement until the set compulsory fields have been completed.

  1. Select the Maintenance menu.
  2. Select Agreement Screen Edit. A dummy agreement will open.
  3. Click several times on the desired field / element that you wish to make compulsory. As you do so, the colours will cycle between a number of options. Stop clicking when the field is red (see further description of colours below). The field will then be compulsory when you view a Customer's Agreement.
  4. Click OK to save the setting & close the sample Agreement.

Note: If you are setting dropdown fields as compulsory - particularly the Marketing fields on the Customer Info 2 tab (more on this tab: #AGTTAB301) - we recommend creating an "Other / Unknown" option. Otherwise, your staff will likely select anything from the dropdown list (often not the correct option), just to get the dialog to disappear; thus resulting in inaccurate marketing data (more on adding / editing Types & Categories: #TPCTATC01).

Colour definitions

  • Green means the field is optional - by default, all fields are set this way.
  • Red means the field is required.
  • Blue hides the field.
